Generosity

We give something back

The service we run is funded by customers who need order and insight into company data. It is a good job, and we are grateful to be able to do it. At the same time, we believe that making money provides an opportunity to contribute a little more than just our deliverable.

Every year we therefore set aside part of the profit for organisations working with health, care and inclusion — causes we believe make society a little better.

Five percent of the profit

We don't want the only warmth we produce to come from servers. That is why we want to earmark five percent for purposes outside our own operations. Three percent goes to named organisations. Two percent is placed in an open pool that non-profit actors can apply for. Five percent from a startup may not be a huge sum, but our goal is to grow — and our goal is to keep the five-percent target. Over time we hope it can make a real difference.

Dyrebar Omsorg

Offers animal-assisted interventions — from visiting dogs to specialised therapy dogs — that make everyday life safer and warmer for people in vulnerable situations. A research-driven organisation that promotes both animal and human welfare. We want to help support assignments, so that more people can experience the warmth and closeness you can only get from an animal.

Kirkens Bymisjon — Glede

A Christmas meal and a bit of community is something many take for granted. The City Mission's Christmas celebrations give that to people who would otherwise have stood alone through the holidays.

Open application pool

The rest is placed in a pool that non-profit actors can apply for. The pool supports activities that directly promote health, welfare and inclusion — for example research, care measures and aid work for vulnerable groups. Sports clubs, cultural clubs and broader association purposes without a clear health or welfare profile fall outside.

The pool is announced at the start of each new financial year.

Follow this page for the announcement and application form.

Generosity does not have to be a number

It is nice to give money where you can, but that is not the only thing that counts. Much of what makes everyday life better for the people around us costs nothing.

  • Have a chat with the neighbour who lives alone.
  • Speak up on social media when someone is treated badly.
  • Buy a coffee for the person hanging around outside the shop.
  • Hold a door, give up your seat on the bus, smile at the cashier.
  • Volunteer once a year — just to see what it's like.

If you run a business yourself, we encourage you to consider the same. It doesn't have to be five percent. It doesn't have to be a press release. Just do a little — and tell no one about it, if you don't want to.
